Keynote address: Dr Ken Kerr, Senior Psychologist, HSE Sligo
"Ethics and Professional Practice: Identifying challenges and points of reflection"
Dr. Ken Kerr is a Senior Psychologist for the HSE in Sligo/Leitrim, where he specializes in improving the quality of life for individuals with a disability through the use of evidence-based supports. He was one of the driving forces behind the growth of Behaviour Analysis in Ireland as Director of Training for Parents Education as Autism Therapists (PEAT) and as Director of Education at Saplings School. Ken is also a lecturer, researcher and author. His research and practice interests include challenging behaviour, precision teaching and the use of non-restrictive practice when supporting individuals with Intellectual Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
